How a run starts

On a floor you draw eight ingredients from a bag and choose up to five of them for a single ritual.

What you do

The pattern sets the base score: pairs, threes, straights, or five cursed items. Tomes then multiply that Dread number.

What carries over

You climb cursed floors, pick up tomes between fights, and unlock characters. A failed floor ends the run.

Pick this if

• You want the spell to be a poker pattern, from one item up to five of a kind.
• You like a bag draw plus a separate tome row that multiplies the result.

• Monster health, turn order, and how a fight actually subtracts your life are not described.
